Most people know it’s Christmas when seeing the Coca-Cola advert on the TV. I haven’t actually seen it yet, so it’s not Christmas yet. However, the DFS adverts have started coming on, (I don’t understand why they say “get it in time for Christmas” when they’re going to start the January sale on Boxing day regardless, so you’ll always be able to buy a sofa!) and the adverts which have always been my favourite around Christmas is the John Lewis adverts. They have always been really clever from what I can remember and this year is really sweet. It’s about the old trick of hiding the presents from those you care about the most, where those people are always around. I love the game of keeping presents a secret and trying to hide them in the best place possible, and no..I’m not going to tell you where I’ve hidden mine! What makes this advert is Ellie Goulding’s “Your Song” which is a great song.
