As you know, I’m just going into my third and final year at University and I should have started thinking about this a looong time ago, Well, I have thought about it but not actually done much ‘proper thinking’ about it.
We’ve been asked to bring in our Portfolios in for Monday and I’ve spent the last day at home getting all of my work together and I’ve just realised how much I’ve managed to do over the last two years without realising I’ve done loads! Anyway, I digress. So, I sat down at my computer and said to myself, “if I want to sort out my portfolio, I better look at what is ‘good’ portfolio design.” So searched on google (as you do) Portfolio design and it came up with practically nothing, then looked at just one website (not mentioning names) which seemed as though it was simply designed, nothing fancy, nothing bad about it, just easy to use and easy to see the work. And by looking at the work, it inspired me. It seems to me that online portfolio design isn’t overly important, obviously I’ll have to think a lot about it but it seems that it is all about the content rather than anything else. This may be naive to say but it’s just a thought that I had, feels obvious now but a valid point I’d say.
Ps. I think this is a quest of fate! The website I was looking at, did the exact same dissertation as I’m going to do but he did it 3 years ago! I’m going to write him a letter, how excited am I?!…So excited that I can’t think about what punctuation to use!?!”£$%^&*()
