You’d think that with my recent obssession with Book Design and namely, Penguin books, I would have bought this book by now, BUT I’ve failed miserably to sell a few other books on Amazon and have also had way to much to do to even CONSIDER thinking about going to buy it!
Anyway, the reason for all of this disappointment that I haven’t bought it yet, is that I’m currently researching to write an essay about the future of Book Design. Will we still have printed books in the next few years? are they sustainable? are they cost effective? but more importantly I am considering the alternative which is e-books! distributed by the internet, sometimes read on the computer. And apart from the realisation that computers and the internet have very quickly become the center of the universe, I’ve found so far that we still like (well, I still) reading books out of a printed on paper, turn the actual pages, book!!
Basically, what I’m saying is that, someone should kindly buy me this book OR alternatively, write me comments on what you think about the future of books, where do you think technology will go? etc etc…and don’t be scared, I know a lot of people read this blog so I want ALL of our opinions.

It’s a fascinating query to be sure, especially with the green movement still in effect. Perhaps the future of books is more of a form of art rather than out of necessity. I know I much rather prefer my books at school to be eBooks. Especially since they never recommend anything worth buying. However, I couldn’t imagine books like “The Art of Looking Sideways” being in anything but print.
